These crabs carry on their mating dance regardless of the waves crashing over the rock that they call home off the southwestern coast of Curacao in the southern Caribbean Sea. This one won Special Recognition in the Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery "Nature" Art competition held in July 2015.

I am in constant awe of nature, life and the different ways we live it around the world. I'm particularly drawn to architecture, sculpture, cloud formations, coastal scenes, birds and lately, Caribbean history. I typically paint from a photo I took, and occasionally I do plein air work in colored pencil. A physicist by training, I love patterns and geometry, so my abstract works and photos reflect that.
