The sunrise over Guana Bay in St. Maarten, northeastern Caribbean, can be quite dramatic with its layered hues of orange, purple, pinky brown and golden clouds. This earned Special Recognition in Light Space and Time Online Art Gallery's "All Women" Art Competition held December 2015.

I am in constant awe of nature, life and the different ways we live it around the world. I'm particularly drawn to architecture, sculpture, cloud formations, coastal scenes, birds and lately, Caribbean history. I typically paint from a photo I took, and occasionally I do plein air work in colored pencil. A physicist by training, I love patterns and geometry, so my abstract works and photos reflect that.
